Our small family of weekly and flexi boarders relish the opportunity to live and learn within our historic five-acre grounds and beautiful, listed College building.
Thomas’s College is located at the top of Richmond Hill, just on the edge of Richmond Park and within walking distance of Richmond town centre. From there, it’s an easy journey onwards into central London or out to Surrey and beyond. There is a strong emphasis on family values which makes Wesley House, our boarding house, feel like a home away from home.
Our three dedicated house parents provide an exceptional level of pastoral care and support for our boarders, ensuring a happy, familial atmosphere, where students feel cared for and known.
Beautifully renovated and appointed bedrooms and a vibrant common room give students the best of both worlds: historic and contemporary, all supported by exceptional staff and a culture of kindness.
Beyond the structure of breakfast, school, activities, and bedtime, there are countless opportunities to grow, try new things and uncover who you are. Boarders enjoy numerous evening activities, outings and events, and make the most of their special access to the sports facilities, Library and ICT suite in their free time. Healthy, balanced and plentiful meals suitable for a wide variety of dietary requirements, allergies and observances are available with gala evenings to mark special events.

All boarders spend an hour in prep every evening, usually in the Library. Sessions are supervised and this ensures younger boarders can easily stay on track with their learning whilst older students have greater independence to choose where to study and when. Boarders arrive each Monday morning, departing on Friday afternoons. This provision of London-family-friendly boarding is perfect for busy families who value flexibility.
Students who have chosen to be a part of team sports may be called to a Saturday fixture or training. Everyone else is free to relax at home with their families at the weekend, returning, ready to study and play on Monday morning. Flexi boarders are welcomed for one-off or regular bookings.
